The Week That Was: We are Vibing Into The Positivity!

Well here we are. One week into the season, and let me tell you… The Vibes around this team, Online, in the Media they are Top Notch. We are vibing into the positivity Babay!

Game 1: Season Opener Vs the Oilers

While I already covered the game in-depth earlier this week. I still wanted to talk about the game, this was a great reminder to fans, other teams and mainly Twitter that our top end talent is just that TOP END.
Brock looked like the Brock of Old which, is a relief for us fans and the team as a whole. EP40, who was named Second Star of the Week by the NHL, was his normal Elite Self and JT Miller looked like a bonafide Center against one of, if not THE Favorite out of the West.

Despite the rumors and innuendo that Connor Garland wants out and the team wants him out he looked like a man that was possessed to show he is valuable to all other 31 teams.

Game 2: @ Oilers

Now this game, Wowza…. I was expecting the Oilers to come out swinging and they did just that. Fourty-Two seconds into the game Leon Draisaitl, RNH and Zach Hyman had the Canucks scrambling in their own zone and scored a goal that I thought was going to really hurt the Canucks team.

While the Oilers kept the pressure up, the Canucks didn’t give up. They were able to kill a Filip Hronek holding penalty and then with a beauty of a tip from Kuzmenko on the PowerPlay tied the game back up.

From there the Canucks kept pushing a goal at 17:51 of the first from Hoggy, who in my opinion had a GREAT game and really showed why he should be staying on the Big Canucks for the whole season. And the Canucks never trailed again!

In the second we had 3 goals 2 of the Powerplay from Edmonton Oilers both McDavid and RNH scored but tucked between there Jack Studnicka scored a very pretty goal on a Two-on-zero break with Elias Petterson. Elias’ pass and close to a pick play gave Studnicka his first of the season.

As we entered into the third period, I was expecting the Oilers to come out swinging. and they tried but Sam Lafferty was able to speed around Mattias Ekholm and crash the net to score the Game Winning Goal!

This has been the most excited I personally have been since the last golden era of the Canucks. This team is showing Grit, Determination, and Desire to win.

If we get 4 points of the next 4 games I would consider that a GREAT start to the season and the start to a playoff picture that includes the Vancouver Canucks. What would you like to see out of the next 4 games?
