EA Sports NHL 24 1.4.0 Patch and World Championship eSports

As January comes to a close, the EA Vancouver studio team has been diligently enhancing the EA SPORTS™ NHL 24 gaming experience. Exciting updates are set to roll out starting Jan 29th.

Key highlights from Patch 1.4.0 include:

  1. Refreshed Goalie X-Factors: Notable adjustments have been made to ‘Light Work’, ‘Extra Padding’, ‘Whirlwind’, ‘Handled It’, and ‘Energizer’ X-factors, offering players more flexibility in assigning Goalie X-Factor zone abilities.
  2. Optimized Goalie Sizing: The ‘Save Reach’ mechanic now dynamically scales with the goalie’s height. This means that smaller goalies will face reduced penalties for far-reaching saves, while larger ones will experience increased penalties. This update allows players to select their preferred goalies without constraints based on size.
  3. Enhanced Goalie Save Precision: Bonuses for precise saves have been increased when the user goalie is properly positioned, while penalties have been heightened for out-of-position saves requiring extensive reach.

In addition, mark your calendars for February 2nd, 2024, from 1pm to 4pm ET, as the first NHL LAN event of the EA SPORTS NHL 24 World Championship esports season kicks off with the EA SPORTS NHL All-Star Open.
